How To Find The Railway Institute
This page shows you the way into the Railway Institute and how to find our meeting room.
It's only a very short walk from the railway station, which is also where most of the buses in York stop.
Some buses stop on Rougier Street, but that's just a minute's walk from the station.
These photos are small but they're enough to get the idea.
| When you leave York railway station, turn right and follow the road around the city wall.

Walk up the road, and you can see the RI ahead of you. That big red brick building.

Here we are! Our new home.

see the green door?

That's NOT the entrance. You must go down the steps...

... to the left...

| ... down here...
|
...or to the right.
|
Then you'll see the entrance, go through this door.

| Yes, come on, come inside.
|
Up the stairs.
|
Okay, you can detour to the bar if you want.
|
| At the top of the stairs, turn right.
|
Then up the next flight of stairs.
|
And here is our room, Meeting Room 1
